Both Beckett and Ireland (Cambridge: Cambridge UP, 2010) and Samuel Beckett: History, Memory, Archive (edited with Katherine Weiss) have recently been published, as well as my edition of Mercier and Camier for the new Faber and Faber series (2010). In April 2010, I was awarded a three year SSHRC grant in support of my research project, "Beckett, degeneration and the politics of Irish fertility, 1929-1963".
I have also launched a new conference series, Queering Ireland, which was first held here at Saint Mary's in Halifax (2009), and will be happening every two years. The next conference, Queering Ireland (2011), will be at University College, Cork , on the topic of "Coming Out in Contemporary Ireland", with Queering Ireland (2013) happening at SUNY, Buffalo, on the topic of "Queer Irish Diasporas".
