Welcome to the website of

CARP

CARP (the Canadian Association of Reductionist Philosophers) is a loose organization of (primarily) Canadian philosophers who are interested in the project of reducing morality to rationality. (Roughly the Gauthier project.) CARP holds annual meetings where members discuss papers (and commentaries on those papers) all of which have been circulated to those attending in advance of the meeting. Membership in CARP is open to anyone interested in the project and competent to contribute to it. Our 2004 meeting is being held at Saint Mary's University, in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sunday, October 17th. (Please note this is a change of date.) The meeting will be held in the McNally Board Room on the main floor of the McNally Arts Building (a stone building with a stubby cross above the main entrance and a semi-circular driveway in front of the building) on Robie Street.

The topic for this meeting is                  Preferences.
